Parson's Place

Parson's Place apartments marked a dramatic revitalization for the Emerson Park Community. The 276 unit project was a partnership of Emerson Park Development Corporation and McCormack Baron Salazar. The 25 acre site was turned from largely empty fields and dilapidated housing into the first major private residential development in the City of East St. Louis in over 30 years.

Parson's Place has come to signify the class of the East St. Louis area with its intricate architecture beautiful landscaping. Good Jobs First, a national policy resource center, just named Parson's Place one of the top 25 economic development projects in the country that provide increased transit access, good jobs, and affordable housing near transit lines (the MetroLink light rail station is two blocks from the Parson's Place Development). The announcement was made in the March 2006 issue of Progressive Railroad Magazine.
