Economic Development
As
Emerson Park grows its housing stock, there is a need for more commercial
development in the area. With 342 new housing units in the neighborhood
in recent years, demand is increasing and the opportunities for businesses
are growing. Emerson Park recognizes that the key to a successful business
is a neighborhood with:
1) A sufficient car count
2) A high population
3) Adequate amount of disposable income per household
We believe that our neighborhood is growing every year to better meet
each of these needs. If you are an entrepreneur interested in opening
a business in the Emerson Park Neighborhood, please contact us for help
in developing your business plan, acquiring a site, and marketing your
new venture. Please call Jeff Fields, Economic Development Manager
at 618-874-1671, ext. 109. Also, EPDC, in partnership
with Justine Peterson Housing and Reinvestment Corporation, is offering
